Baobab trees fruit at different times, and after gorgeous flowers bloom on the green giant of a tree, they form long fruits that hang in ominous and rather heavy pods, high about everyone’s heads. The bees absolutely love them, but we’ve all been a restaurants under baobab trees where falling fruit is a true hazard!
Tap away at the fruit’s hard casing and it will easily give way. The baobab fruit is dry with fibrous threads through a light pink and sherberty, almost milky chalkiness.
